Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lobster tails
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Thaw lobster tails (if frozen) and cut through the top shell with kitchen scissors. Gently pull apart the shell to lift out the meat while keeping it attached at the base.
  2. Combine buttermilk and Old Bay seasoning in a mixing bowl and marinate the lobster meat for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Remove lobster from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off, then dredge in flour until fully coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or pot to about 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry lobster tails in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
