Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast chopped pecans on a baking sheet for 5-7 minutes until fragrant; let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in cooled pecans.
  7. Scoop rounded portions onto parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden at the edges.
  8. Cool on a wire rack before glazing with melted butter mixed with brown sugar, milk, and powdered sugar.
