Ingredients
Scale
10 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips or chunks
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
3 eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp espresso powder (optional)
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 package candy eyes
20 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tbsp heavy cream, to thin
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9 x 9 inch cake pan with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and 1 cup of dark chocolate chips together until smooth.
Whisk in sugar and eggs until combined. Add melted chocolate mixture, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
Melt remaining chocolate chips with coconut oil; dip cooled brownies into this mixture to coat.
Create bandage designs with icing made from powdered sugar and heavy cream, then attach candy eyes.
