  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped fine)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups high-quality chicken broth
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Tear the bread into bite-sized pieces and toast them in a dry pan at 250°F for one hour.
  3. Sauté chopped onions and celery in melted butter over medium heat until soft.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine toasted bread, sautéed vegetables, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Whisk chicken broth with eggs; pour over the bread mixture while gently mixing until evenly moistened.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking pan and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes covered; then remove foil and bake an additional 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
